Emmaleigh will be 9 months old next week so she had her 9 month check up today. She is 15 pounds 12oz and 27 inches, but that was with clothes and shoes on I weighed her when I got home and I got 14lbs 14½ oz naked. In any case she is gaining weight thriving she was 13 something with clothes on so she gained a good bit. The Doctor was very impressed she is doing so well on the growth chart on just breast milk. So he fine with me starting solids or delaying. I can't belive how wonderful she is doing from the tiny little bit of 4lbs 8oz at birth. She still doesn't have teeth. I still haven't gotten my cycles back which I think is due to how wonderful we are doing with co sleeping. I belive co sleeping is like breastmilk it a skill that takes some work and it looks like we got it to work this time and it not for everyone but I enjoy that smilie face in the morning. I'm very excited we have done so well on the breastfeeding and cosleeping. I'm glad to start solids cause we want to not cause we have to or need to. We will be doing it just for the fun of it and starting very slow not eating a ton of food we will still keeping nursing a great bit I still want to make it until at least 2 yrs with the nursing. He said just watch her this summer with the heat and don't be afraid to give her water if we are out in the heat and we both get hot. He have me a list of foods that are good to start with I told him I would be making my own foods. She is doing good and she is on track developmentally. He did said he wants her to do the RSV shots again next season in September. Since we had some airway issues thisseason, she was born so early and has school age sibling. We did find out that she has vaginal adhesions. Which means the Vaginal opening is fused together and I have to use A&D cream on her to help open her up because the urine will only drain out instead of flow out like it should and we run the risk of UTI's and if this doesn't work we can use a estrogen cream on her, Which I would prefer not to use. I did the A& D on her tonight and it came right open so I think we will be okay. Other than that she is doing well we don't go back until she is the big ONE.

WAY TO GROW BIG GIRL! im so glad shes doing so well! ive been hearing more and more about vaginal adhesions latley on cafemom! ive never heard of it till there.. glad it will be ok! i know alot about it now and what to look for!!
